Each year we ready ourselves for Hurricane Season which is typically between July and September in Hawaii. Tsunami really have nothing to do with the weather patterns that bring hurricanes, though there is something dramatic about sunset when one is approaching and you can feel the ocean and air pressure change. Tsunamis are generated by seismic activity and are most often mild, though can be extremely dangerous when a large earthquake hits somewhere in the pacific rim. Being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the most isolated land mass on planet Earth, we are indeed vulnerable in such a vast expanse. It gives us a sense of awe.
