When my sweetie passed suddenly of a stroke when I was 39, I left her worn slippa by the door because I couldn’t bear letting go of one of the most familiar and comforting sights when I returned home.
Most Hawaii locals practice the tradition of removing their shoes before entering a home, so it's not uncommon to find a pile of slippas, island footwear commonly known as flip-flops, at someone's door. Stamp this image on a project to tell someone special, "I miss you."
