We live in such a rich creative town that serves up fabulous gems that hold space for creativity. If you haven’t taken a class or workshop at Ben Franklin, you’re missing out. I was invited as guest artist for Jenny’s monthly (1st Wed) art journaling class.
"Stamping Three Ways: Traditions in Printing" was the theme. We made ‘ohe kapala using tongue depressors, which printed surprisingly well. We created mock kapa (tapa) with craft paper and had a blast passing them down the line so we had a chance to try each other's. We each carved an eraser stamp with an X-ACTO knife. Last but not least, everyone went home with a stamp from Rubber Stamp Plantation.
Hopefully we’ll remember to ask someone to record it as a tutorial next time.
Sign up to stay in contact, and I’ll send out any gems I hear of. We’ll also be starting up workshops again at RSP.
